MEET DANIELLE LETAYF
A bold leader and champion for the power of community, Danielle launched her company to amplify diverse voices and reinvent what it means to network.
A COMMUNITY BUILDER AT HEART
Danielle has always been obsessed with making the world a more connected, inclusive place. Her passion for community, cultural experiences, and events inspired her to:
- Run community at Shine, a brand that makes it easier to take care of yourself
- Become a founding team member and Head of Programs and Community for #BUILTBYGIRLS, a social impact brand that's creating the new wave of tech leaders - who just happen to be teen girls
- Expand the BUILT BY GIRLS community from 5 to over 15,000 around the country through internships, competitions, events and digital experiences
She earned a her degree in marketing and business administration from Boston University.
When she's not trying to change the world with her startup, she's fueled by dancing, wearing gold + metallics, traveling, and vintage shopping. And chocolate. Always chocolate.
CONNECTING DIVERSE PROFESSIONALS TO SPEAKING GIGS - AND TO EACH OTHER
Now, Danielle joins the Milestone Makers cohort as the founder of Badassery.
She launched the company after going to numerous professional events, both as an attendee and panel speaker. She wondered (and asked) why more diverse perspectives weren't represented.
Often event planners told her: "We don't know where to find them." - aka smart, diverse professionals with powerful stories to share. But she did.
Her answer was to develop a go-to platform for professionals and event planners alike. A hub for real, smart, and diverse professionals (from companies like Spotify, VICE, the New York Times, Mastercard and ConsenSys), Badassery connects their community to speaking gigs and to each other. These connections not only supercharge personal and professional growth, but also diversity cultural conversations across industries.
